On Monday, the tribunal heard call records and data obtained from phones logged Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most covered child disappearance cases and continues to be open.

'I Don't Want Money'

One voicemail, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.

The tribunal was told that by means of electronic messages, text messages and calls, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the data, informed the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with close associates of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On that date, Mr McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court was told communications between the two accused, in last November, discussing endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We need to make a stand," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their home, Mrs Spragg sent a message which expressed: "We're currently sat adjacent to the McCanns' house with our headlights off like investigators. I had hoped to achieve this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case proceeds.
