Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
