Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a separate essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a embargo on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the deaths, public personalities expressed divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out last week. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the statements as "shocking" and remarked they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an associate should have acted when the decision to speak on the death was made.
