Ex-Red Bull boss Horner Allegedly Getting in Touch with Numerous Formula 1 Team Principals
Ex-Red Bull chief Christian Horner is apparently "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he seeks a comeback to F1, according to Aston Martin F1 chief executive officer Andy Cowell.
The British racing team is among the squads that are associated with Horner.
The team executive mentioned he had confirmed the circumstances with team principal Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore GP.
"It looks as though Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the executive.
"I can definitively state there are no arrangements for the participation of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."
Further Organizations Comment
The American team team principal Ayao Komatsu revealed that Horner had "approached" the Stateside organization but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. It's over."
The French manufacturer managing director Steve Nielsen mentioned the squad's senior consultant and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "old friends" with the ex-boss.
Nielsen commented: "I don't know what they talk about. Everything I know is there are no intentions for Christian to come to Alpine but that doesn't mean it might not transpire."
Williams chief James Vowles stated that the ex-chief had not reached out to them.
"We're content with the setup we have and it's working," the team principal said. "I don't see any reason to change from that."
Historical Information
Horner is able to come back grand prix racing by the second half of the coming year after finalising a departure deal with Red Bull on September 22nd.
The veteran motorsport figure was let go as Red Bull team principal after the British Grand Prix in the month of July.
Multiple sources at the racing team have suggested the financial arrangement was valued at 60 million euros (52 million pounds).
