The First Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation unprecedentedly. The past year represented a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that justify the service alone. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — rendering them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
